Diya Ashtakala is a research associate with the Project on Nuclear Issues (PONI) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Diya holds a MA in International Affairs from the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies, Boston University and a BA from St. Joseph's College in Bangalore, India. Her research includes South Asia nuclear deterrence, escalation dynamics, and arms control.
