In this episode of The Negotiator Files, Christopher Ford discusses his role in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) conferences. The conversation focused on his creation of the Creating an Environment for Nuclear Disarmament initiative, the relationship between the NPT and Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, and advice for the next generation of arms control experts. Dr. Ford served as Assistant Secretary for International Security and Nonproliferation (2018-2020), Senior Director for Weapons of Mass Destruction and Counterproliferation at the National Security Council (2017-2018), Special Representative for Nuclear Nonproliferation (2006-2008), and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Verification and Compliance  (2003-2006).
