Pak on her new book, Becoming Kim Jong Un: A Former CIA Officer’s Insights into North Korea’s Enigmatic Young Dictator. Her book is a groundbreaking account of the rise of Kim Jong Un. Dr. Jung Pak is a former senior intelligence analyst on North Korea at the CIA and in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. She is currently the SK-Korea Foundation chair in Korea Studies at The Brookings Institution. Prior to her work in national security, Dr. Pak was a history professor in New York City.
