About the Author

Alex Stevenson works in the Systems Analysis Group at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. His team provides an interface from the Labs to the DoD end-users responsible for nuclear planning at USSTRATCOM, as well as general analysis of nuclear effects, radiation hardening, and policy issues in support of Labs missions. He has prior active-duty experience in the Air Force as a scientist, working nuclear effects studies in support of nuclear acquisitions programs at the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. He holds an undergraduate degree in Physics (US Air Force Academy) and a master's degree in nuclear physics (Air Force Institute of Technology).
