C4ADS is hosting a public conversation with Mr. Hugh Griffiths, the Coordinator of the UN Panel of Experts established pursuant to resolution 1874 (2009). Mr. Griffiths will discuss North Korea’s latest adaptations to international sanctions as covered in the 2019 annual report, providing the most detailed public look at DPRK sanctions evasion to date. The discussion will also cover how North Korea’s adaptive evasion techniques can be observed in publicly available information to prompt a conversation on best practices for monitoring and enforcement in 2019 and beyond.
